EASTER MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE MAYOR

As we celebrate this sacred and reflective Easter period, I extend my warmest wishes to all residents and visitors in Theewaterskloof.
May this season bring you peace, renewal and a deep sense of hope as you spend time with family, friends and your religious communities.
Easter is a time that reminds us of compassion, sacrifice and the importance of unity.
It is also a time when many travel to reconnect with loved ones.
We therefore urge all road users to exercise patience, caution and responsibility on our roads.
Sadly, this period is often marked by an increase in road accidents and fatalities. Let us all play our part in ensuring that every journey ends safely and that families are not left with heartbreak.
While many gather around full tables this Easter, we also pause to remember those families for whom there will be empty seats.
We keep in our thoughts all who have lost loved ones since last Easter and we stand in solidarity with you during this time of remembrance.
As we welcome visitors to our beautiful region, I also wish to remind everyone that Level 1 water restrictions remain in place. We kindly call on both residents and visitors to use water responsibly and sparingly. Every drop counts, and collective effort is essential to safeguarding this vital resource for all.
Let us embrace this Easter with kindness, responsibility and care for one another.
Wishing you a blessed and safe Easter.
Alderman Lincoln De Bruyn
Executive Mayor, Theewaterskloof Municipality
