BUSY WEEK FOR OPERATIONS TEAM

This week, we extend our sincere appreciation to all our operations teams across Theewaterskloof for their continued hard work and dedication in keeping our towns clean and safe.

It has been a particularly busy and productive week on the ground.

Our teams have made steady progress with the pothole repair programme in Bergsig, Caledon, helping to improve road safety and driving conditions for residents.

In Tesselaarsdal, teams focused on grass cutting and cleaning along the entrance and main road, ensuring a more welcoming and well-kept environment for the community.

Efforts also continued in Villiersdorp, Grabouw, Riviersonderend and Uitsig in Caledon, where teams worked tirelessly to clear illegal dumping sites, an ongoing challenge that requires both municipal action and community cooperation.

If you witness any illegal dumping please report it immediately to our Operations Contact Centre on 080 021 4730.

In Genadendal and Greyton, teams carried out the painting of stop streets and speed humps to enhance road safety and visibility for both motorists and pedestrians.

In addition, important maintenance work was carried out at our reservoirs and water treatment plants, alongside the upkeep of parks, sidewalks and public open spaces across the municipality.

We recognise and thank every worker who has contributed to these efforts, often behind the scenes and in all weather conditions.

Your commitment does not go unnoticed and plays a vital role in service delivery across Theewaterskloof.

Let’s continue working together to keep our communities clean, safe and cared for.
