Duly authorised by a resolution of Council and, in terms of the Provisions of Section 33 of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, No. 56 of 2003, Theewaterskloof Municipality herewith informs the public that it is investigating the feasibility of entering into a contract to replace the existing Water Treatment Works with a new Package Plant Treatment Works at Riviersonderend, Genadendal, Bereaville and Voorstekraal, and that it will operate through a skilled and experienced service provider, and that the service provider will be granted the right to manage the Municipality’s capital assets for a period of 10 years.
The information statement summarising the Municipality’s obligations in terms of the proposal to grant the right to manage the capital assets can be inspected at the Municipality’s head and satellite offices and libraries during official working hours of operation (07h45 – 16h45); or can be accessed on the Municipality’s official web-site www.twk.org.za, from 6th of April 2017
Notice is hereby given that, in terms of Section 21 and 21A of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act 32 of 2000), the local community and affected parties are invited to submit comments or presentations on the proposed long term operation and maintenance contract for Water Package Treatment Works in respect of the proposed contract and the granting of the right to manage the assets in Riviersonderend, Genadendal, Bereaville and Voorstekraal
Such comments or presentations must be submitted by not later than 5th of May 2017
Comments or representations must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly endorsed
“Proposed Outsourcing of Water Treatment in Riviersonderend and GGA”.
