My office enhances relationships between the political and administrative centres of the council. My office promotes functional communication and client care and administers the internal audit function.
I am the head of Administration that consists of Directorates for:
Theewaterskloof Municipality provides services through decentralised town administrations in Grabouw, Caledon, Villiersdorp, Botrivier, Greyton/Genadendal-and-area, Tesselaarsdal and Riviersonderend.
Services are provided by a functional personnel structure, an effective and competent corporate function and decentralised town offices; which take service delivery and public inputs to grassroots levels.
The focus on Local Economic Development (LED) created an environment conducive for economic development. LED paved the way for significant investments and developments in the municipal area during the second and third terms of the municipality.
The municipality succeeded to draft annual budgets and IDP’s with extensive planning and public participative processes.
The municipality succeeded to accelerate infrastructure development and service delivery.
The municipality also succeeded to improve Municipal Sustainability in terms of the criteria of Ratings Afrika.
