TEMPORARY POSITION - PROJECT MANAGER: MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS OF LIBRARIES

Salary: R308.85 per hour for hours worked

Description

The most eligible candidate must have proven experience in the general maintenance and repairs of library buildings with a clear understanding of the norms and standards as prescribed by Provincial Library Services. HEAD: LEGAL DEBT RECOVERY / ADVISOR

Description

The most eligible candidate must be in possession of a LLB Degree and be admitted as an Attorney or Advocate together with 3 years extended experience in a debt collection environment and civil court proceedings (experience must be clearly stated in the application form). The successful candidate must have good negotiations and communications skills with excellent knowledge of the laws governing debt collection. This position also requires a high level of legal technical knowledge and civil court proceedings. A valid driver’s license. Computer literate. Description

Description

A relevant tertiary qualification (NQF 7) and a minimum of five (5) years management experience. Work experience in the public sector will serve as a recommendation. Candidates must also have proven knowledge of public participation processes, project management, client service, financial management, capacity building and participatory management. A valid code B driver’s license and computer literary will also be required.

Description

The most eligible candidate must be in possession of a Degree in the field of Engineering and or Building Construction Management together with 5 years experience as Project Coordinator. Be computer literate (MS Word / Excel / Outlook). A valid Code B driver’s license. The preferred candidate must have excellent communication, administration and negotiation skills together with construction and project management experience. Be able to work under pressure and the ability to handle conflict situation. Candidates must also be able to communicate effectively in at least two (2) of the three (3) official languages in the Western Cape, namely English, Afrikaans and Xhosa. Sound knowledge of the NHBRC requirements with a good understanding of the Building Regulations, SANS and ISO standard as well as Town Planning By-laws is also very important.

Description

The envisaged candidate will be expected to be in possession of a Degree in Public Administration or an equivalent qualification (NQF7) together with 8 years management experience. Applicants must have sound knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Administrative Justice Act as well as the Law on Contracts. The most eligible candidate should also demonstrate proven visionary and strategic thinking skills and decision-making ability. A valid code B driver’s license and computer literate. Excellent communication skills in at least two (2) of the three (3) officials languages in the Western Cape, namely English, Afrikaans and Xhosa. The successful candidate if not already compliant with the Municipal Regulations on Minimum Competency Levels will be allowed 18 months from date of appointment to comply with the said regulations.

The most eligible candidate must be in possession of a National Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5 years relevant experience. Applicants with 5 years municipal experience will be given preference.
